NGC HIT leverages CONNECT to provide secure HIE solutions to federal and private sector Nationwide Health Information Network customers. Under the Military Interoperable Digital Hospital Testbed (MIDHT), NGC HIT supported the Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) Phase 1a and Conemaugh Health System (CHS) in Johnstown, PA. MIDHT is a project funded by the U.S. Department of Defense. Achievements include: -Built an adapter that performs patient discovery tasks against the CHS Initiate EMPI -Worked with U.S. ARMY/TATRC to create a universal adapter that mediates EHR data into an HL7(v3) RIM format -Built data maps for the Dynamic Document Generation CONNECT plug-in -Helped CHS build an Allscripts EHR interface that retrieves medication, allergy, problem & demographic data NGC HIT also provides technical support to new and existing organizations (state & federal agencies, hospitals, etc.) that wish to join the Nationwide Health Information Network via CONNECT.
